Bring along for repair: hand and machine sewing - general household items - electrical items - knives for sharpening.

Motueka Repair Cafe offers free repairs for household items that would otherwise be thrown away. As well as general repairers and blade sharpening, we have a registered electrician, a leather repair expert, sewing experts, and a woollens repairer, and we offer basic bike repairs as well.

Bring along your item for repair or maintenance. Our skilled volunteers will be here to assist you with textile, small appliance, jewellery, welding, and general repairs.

Do you have clothes in your wardrobe that you just don’t wear? Maybe they don’t fit right, are too short or long, or the waistband has stretched out. Maybe you love the print or colour, but not the cut. Or they'd get a lot more wear if only they had pockets!

At our monthly events volunteers donate their time to help you repair your items.

Collaborative repair café held by Repair Café Aotearoa NZ and Auckland Central City Library! What is on offer? REPAIRS available are confirmed closer to the event date, but may include MENDING and sewing of clothing and textiles (yet no alterations) as well as small ELECTRICAL household items such as your toaster, lamp, vacuum cleaner etc.

Bring along any garment in need of a simple repair and learn how to fix it yourself.
